Drawing is my way to escape the invisible chaos a big city such as Shanghai gives me. I draw what strikes me in the moment each day. When cloudy and rainy, I huddle drawing sketches of characters I imagine in a sketchbook; when sunny, I am attracted to living forests of bamboo or birds by using the ancient techniques of Chinese traditional painting; when angry or irritated, the delicate pace of writing Chinese Calligraphy calms me.
